things i miss about undergrad

visiting HB got me feeling all nostalgic. my four years at college were some of the best ever, partially because...

- i could walk almost anywhere. little sheetz, the bar, campus, AM's house, the peace chapel, the weis... i love driving my car, but i miss the convenience of small town living. we spent most of our time in and around campus because everything was so close. it's one of the few things i can say i loved about being in central PA

- which i follow up with driving through the mountains lol. over my four years, i grew to love driving the "backroads" especially late at night. there was one particular town that was my favorite. going up the mountain was something of a bitch, but i could coast the entire way down the other side. plus there was a sheetz at the bottom, marking the halfway point of my trip :)

- i miss the MWF/TTh schedule. being able to sleep in two weekdays was fabulous. even if i had a 9am TTh, i had a tendency to fall asleep from 915 to 10. yea i was kind of a bad student that way...

- watching horrible trash tv after the bar. i dont really miss the shows themselves. i miss hanging out with my friends, talking shit and eating crackers while tipsy :) "next" was a particular favorite of ours... i also miss america's next top model marathons on vh1

- working with tech crew. i was able to meet some great people and see some amazing performances for free because of crew. plus i was queen of the marley floor by senior year. my awesome type A meticulousness came in handy as we rolled out and taped the floor for the annual dance performance

even with all the things i miss, at least i got to keep the best part of my juniata experience: the awesome relationships with friends, professors and administrators. every person i've known at and from juniata has helped shape the person i am today, and i will carry them in my heart forever

I definitely miss college. especially now that I've been talking to a guy I went to school with. (I think we've talked more now than we did during the two years we were there together.)

I miss the campus community like crazy. Spending all day in the Fraker (sort of a snack shop/sort of mini cafe like place) with all of my friends... I didn't have class until 3p MWF of my last semester, so I stayed tehre all day as my friends rotated through in between classes.

UM I seriously really really really miss undergrad! That's why my entire blog is themed around that idea. It's called "life after college", because I'm still struggling dealing with life after such an amazing 4 years at school. I hope you'll check out my blog, I'm following yours now :)

during tax season (when i work about a million hours a week) i dream about going back to undergrad where having ten hours of class a week was considered unbearable! thanks for allowing me the opportunity to reminisce!

I also miss undergrad - you know that was a time when I didn't have to worry about work or working too hard - still had my parents to fall back on. Life is quite a bit different now - now it's the sucky real world lol.

isn't it sad that I kind of miss H-don? it was charming: you can't deny that! I miss walking too, and being able to go to the cliffs or peace chapel (even though I didn't go enough). It was always beautiful no matter what season.

le sigh.
