spring fever week7

Life's Journey with a Smile

since blogger had it's fuck up, my week 6 post was removed. if you're reading me in a reader, it's still there, but you can't actually link to it to comment. sorry if you tried linking from amy since the link is now broken. i'm so furious with blogger right now

this week's questions:
  1. What have you done this past week to help achieve your goals?
  2. What did you do this past week to make you feel good about yourself?
  3. When you go away on vacation or business do your goals get put on hold/pause or do you continue to work on them while away?
  4. Do you have friends/family members that you work on a goal(s) with? Do you find working towards a goal with someone easier or more challenging?
  5. Fun Question: What is your favourite magazine to read?
question 1: (1) even with the stumbles, i'm plugging away at getting in my water. i even spent 20 minutes the other night melting ice to make sure i got in enough. was melting ice only because i refuse to pay $2 for bottled water from hotels :p today starts four per day, which is less daunting than when i started. one down, working on glasses two and three (water bottle). should get number four when i get home from work :) (2) i still haven't decided how i'm going to change this goal, but i did jack last week. must. get. back. on. track (3) my impromptu PA trip plus mega exhaustion from stress equal fail. this is the last week for this goal as it is now. may revamp it over the weekend *sigh* (4) i need to get on my recipe condensing, but business research is going well. i'm getting almost two chapters read a day in this book (5) doing pretty well with the budget. came in right on target on groceries and under on gas. just need to watch the miscellaneous expenses (as usual) (6) loved doni's mema mac, but i'm still trying other recipes. pulled two from food network to whip up this weekend. one has proscuitto in it; the other uses smoked cheddar and mascarpone. we're getting fancy up in here :)

question 2: saved my own sanity a bit by applying the brakes on the emotional rollercoaster, requested (and was approved) to work from home once a week through the summer and spent sunday being totally lazy, guilt free

question 3: the only thing i put on hold is working out. staying with family means constant interruptions, staying in hotels leads to no motivation and visiting friends are usually super quick trips. i try to still make healthy food choices and drink more water than other stuff. i try not to overspend any preset limits. any other goals (like cooking) get rescheduled to compensate for the time i'll be away

question 4: huh. i'm all about the buddy system, but i don't have a buddy for any of my current (or previous winter warrior) goals. fitness goals are much easier with a buddy because there's always someone to talk you out of your own excuses. neal has suggested evening walks together, which i more or less vetoed. it's always fun cause we can catch up and such. i just hate walking outside. and julia wants to restart our gym dates. i immediately was on board, and then i remembered gyms cost money.  if only she were moving to our apartment complex; we have two fitness centers on site... hmmm seems i need a buddy to talk me in to being a good buddy

question 5: the only magazine i read is food network, except my subscription expired. didn't see the "hey, renew me" note so i've missed out on the last few months. need to get on that soon; i miss it

via we heart it

this will be me for the next few nights, reading about business or reading comics. either way, i'll be happy :)
